The Center of Historical, Archaeological, and Cultural Heritage
The Library Department is responsible for managing the services provided by the library to the beneficiary community directly, such as lending services, reference services, electronic services, and any services that facilitate students’ access to the information they need.
Tasks and specializations:
· Purchasing information sources from local and international exhibitions.
· Making annual subscriptions to specialized periodicals.
· Activating the donation and exchange process with relevant entities.
· Providing various paper and electronic sources for library users in various disciplines related to heritage, archaeology, history, and ancient languages.
· Converting manual technical procedures: supply, indexing, classification, etc. to automated procedures.
· Preparing a local network to connect the library computers, in addition to connecting to the Internet.
· Providing various library services electronically in addition to traditional methods such as indexing, abstracting, selective information retrieval, current awareness, etc.
· Providing various references, sources, and periodicals to library users from various disciplines related to population issues.
· Creating a modern mechanism for indexing, classifying, borrowing, and donating books.
· Preparing the browsing computer network on the Internet.
· Developing an automated system for searching sources and references using computers.
