Sana\u2019a University held a joint meeting today for website administrators and quality deputies from its faculties and centers to review the annual evaluation of websites and assess the level of data and content updates achieved during 2025. The meeting comes within the University\u2019s efforts to strengthen its digital presence and improve performance in line with international university ranking standards.
\nThe meeting brought together Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs; Prof. Huda Al-Emad, Director of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center (ADQAC), website and social media administrators, and quality assurance deputies of the University\u2019s faculties and centers.
\nProf. Huda Al-Emad noted that the main objective of the evaluation process is to accurately examine the current status of each website, identify gaps, and implement necessary improvements to address the problems, ensuring compliance with international ranking standards and requirements. She emphasized the need for deans, quality deputies, and website administrators to conduct a thorough and systematic review of all website sections to guarantee accuracy, up-to-date information, and comprehensive content coverage.
\nIn turn, Mr. Al-Hababi emphasized that the remarkable progress achieved by Sana\u2019a University in the media and digital fields entails a shared responsibility on everyone to sustain and build upon these advancements. He highlighted the commitment of the University leadership represented by the Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, to advancing faculty and center websites and ensuring regular updates of data, given their critical role in enhancing the University\u2019s visibility and reputation both locally and internationally.
\nMr. Al-Hababi added that the University is currently working, following the Rector\u2019s directives, to subscribe to an advanced international hosting server offering high-level technical capabilities. This shift will enhance website loading speed, strengthen cybersecurity, and improve efficient and reliable access for users and international entities.
\nHe also stressed the necessity of securing all official social media pages belonging to the University\u2019s faculties and centers. He called to link these accounts to both the official email and official phone numbers to ensure account protection and avoid hacking or loss of access. Moreover, he instructed each faculty and center to assign an official WhatsApp number, clearly displayed on their website homepage, as a direct and formal communication channel for responding to student and public inquiries in an organized manner that reflects the institutional identity of the University.
\nMr. Al-Hababi reiterated that updating and securing data on official websites is essential, as international university rankings rely heavily on these platforms for accurate academic and institutional information and evaluation. He further stressed adherence to the University\u2019s media policy to avoid the risk of official pages being removed or blocked on social media platforms.
\nDuring the meeting, Prof. Huda Al-Emad presented the final evaluation form used to assess website performance, explaining its importance in measuring compliance with approved standards, outlining its indicators and assessment mechanisms, and responding to attendees\u2019 questions and observations.
\nThe meeting concluded with discussions on website-related issues, content quality across faculties and centers, and strategies for continuous progress. It also highlighted the importance of stronger coordination between website administrators and quality deputies to enhance institutional performance, meet accreditation requirements, and reinforce Sana\u2019a University\u2019s presence in regional and international university rankings.<\/p>\n
