An Overview about the Program:

The specialization of Information Systems is one of the basic and important specializations of the Computer Center. It provides students with various technological skills needed for serving the community, as this specialization aims to provide the student with many scientific and professional skills in the field of analyzing and designing research systems and building effective systems and high quality and simulate development in tools, software and the amazing acceleration in systems, websites and their technologies. Also, to provide the labor market with designers of modern systems so that they are able to work efficiently and open new job opportunities and excellence in this promising field.

Introduction to the program:

The role of information systems, information technology, accounting and banking information technology, and networks now and in the future is a large and growing role in business management, providing services, and increasing the efficiency of institutions, because information systems, information technology, accounting and banking information technology, and networks exist in wide areas, whether in government institutions, or private sector institutions. Therefore, these specializations are necessary to improve the performance and develop the work of contemporary institutions.

Information systems specialists must be able to design and implement technology and information systems solutions to increase the organization’s performance

Providing technical and scientific services in the field of information systems to meet the requirements of the labor market and contribute to building society.

Department Aims

The department aims to:

1-      Preparing distinguished cadres in the fields of information systems.

2-      Strengthening the local and regional labor market with qualified cadres that meet the needs of the local and regional labor market with regard to information systems.

3-      Providing students with the basic principles and concepts theoretically and practically in the fields of information systems.

4-      Qualifying graduates capable of analyzing, designing and developing high-quality systems to meet the needs of various institutions.

5-      Preparing a cadre capable of creating information systems and programming them with high efficiency.

6-      Harnessing programming techniques and developing information systems in a way that contributes to facilitating community services.

7-      Training students on programming information systems in a practical way that ensures that they gain experience in preparation for their transfer to the labor market.

    Admission Requirements for the Program

–          For a student to be accepted into the program, the following conditions are required: 

–          Admission to the program in accordance with the admission rules determined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as the university admission guidelines.

–          General Secondary Education Certificate (Science Section) or any equivalent certificate with a grade as specified in the admission rules issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

–          Pass the aptitude test and personal interview.

–          Any necessary condition for specialization determined by the department.

Graduation from the Graphic Design Department requires the following

  • Student attendance must not be less than 75% of lecture attendance.
  • The student graduates after successfully passing all program requirements.
  • The total number of credit hours for the program is 69 credit hours.
