Students of Department of English and Translation at Knowledge and Modern Science ‎University Visit CCTLT

The Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana’a ‎University hosted, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, a group of students from the Department ‎of English and Translation at the Knowledge and Modern Science University‎. The visit ‎formed part of the community service activities provided by the Center to Yemeni ‎universities, aimed at strengthening academic cooperation and the exchange of expertise ‎among higher education institutions.‎

The visiting delegation consisted of 13 male and female students accompanied by Dr. ‎Ghadeer Al-Aubal. They were received by Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, the Center’s Director; ‎Dr. Faisal Al-Dawli, Head of the Translation Unit; Ms. Somia Al-Sumaini, Training and ‎Qualification Officer; and Public Relations Officer, Ms. Saba Al-Arshani; and a number of ‎translators.‎

During the visit, the students observed translation practices on site and benefited from the ‎expertise of the Center’s translators through discussion sessions on general translation and ‎practical exposure to the application of modern translation techniques and methods. They ‎were also introduced to advanced electronic tools used in translation, the integration of ‎artificial intelligence tools into translation processes, and the professional translator’s role in ‎editing and reviewing translations.‎

The program further included an overview of the types of documents translated at the Center, ‎the challenges translators face, common errors and approaches to addressing them. The ‎students were also introduced to the Center’s academic, training, and professional ‎development program, toured its facilities, and explored the benefits of its services in both ‎academic and professional contexts.‎

At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the ‎Center’s management and the Translation Unit for their warm reception and support, ‎underscoring the Center’s important role in serving the community and in developing the ‎skills of students and researchers across Yemeni universities.‎
