Sana’a University CCTLT Hosts Field Visit for Translation Students from Faculty of Languages

The Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana’a University hosted a field visit on Monday, 2 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to December 22, 2025, by forty students of Level 3, from the Translation Department at the Faculty of Languages. The visit was organized to the Center’s Translation Unit as part of the students’ academic training.
The student delegation was received by the Center’s Director, Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen; Head of the Translation Unit, Dr. Faisal Al-Dawli; and Public Relations Officer, Ms. Saba Al-Arshani. The center’s administration welcomed the students and provided them with an overview of the Center’s mandate, services, and training programs.
The visit included a practical training workshop on general translation, focusing on the application of translation techniques and strategies, as well as the effective use of electronic tools and artificial intelligence systems in translation. Students also toured the Center’s facilities to observe various language instruction activities and specialized training programs currently in effect.

During the visit, the students observed the workflow of the Translation Service Unit, including procedures for receiving and processing translated documents. They were briefed on the range of community services provided by the unit, the types of documents translated on a daily basis, and the key challenges faced by professional translators.

CCTLT officials emphasized their commitment to training and qualifying university students in the fields of translation and language teaching and to strengthening cooperation and integration between the Center and university faculties offering programs in translation and language studies.
This visit comes as part of the Center’s ongoing plans to provide training, capacity building, and consultancy services to students and graduates of translation programs at Sana’a University and other Yemeni universities
