The Board of Directors of the Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana’a University held its fifth regular meeting for the 2025/1447 academic year on Monday, December 29, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Zaid Al-Wareeth, Rector’s Assistant for Scientific and Research Centers’ Affairs, on behalf of Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, University Rector and Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, Director of the Center; Dr. Yahya Obaid, Deputy Director; along with the Center’s advisors, academic department heads, and representatives of foreign language and postgraduate programs.

The Council began by reviewing and approving the minutes of its previous meeting. It then discussed several topics concerning postgraduate students in the Master’s Program in Translation within the Department of Translation and Applications, including the approval of a Viva Voce committee to examine a master’s thesis.
The Council also approved topics related to the Language Teaching Department, notably the updated curriculum plan for intensive English language courses. In addition, the Council endorsed the publication of the “Professional Training Unit Guide” and “English Writing Notebook” as part of the Center’s 2025/1447 academic year releases.
Further discussions addressed student affairs and financial matters, with decisions taken to enhance academic and administrative performance at the Center and to strengthen the quality of its educational and training programs.
