Program Mission<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

The program seeks to prepare well-qualified professional translators to meet the labor market’s needs locally and regionally by providing them with a thorough grounding in the academic intellectual discipline of Translation Studies and a clear understanding of the translation profession’s requirements. The program aspires to achieve distinction in this field through a stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity and enables students to experience various forms of translation practice using appropriate resources and modern technology.<\/h4>

Program Aims<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

  1. To provide students with an up-to-date grounding, based on linguistic, social, and intercultural awareness, in key concepts of translation studies so that these principles can be applied in the study, analysis, and translation of a variety of texts.<\/h4><\/li>

  2. To develop students\u2019 professional skills to generate high-quality translations in a range of genres and text types (legal, business, journalistic, political, religious, scientific, etc.).<\/h4><\/li>

  3. To provide specialist training in various types of translation \/interpreting activities, including the use of technology in translation\/interpreting and related activities.<\/h4><\/li>

  4. To equip students with the knowledge and skills for a career in translation\/ interpreting or in other professions that require expertise in cross-cultural communication.<\/h4><\/li>

  5. To provide students with a gradual transition into the world of work through practical, real-life translation\/interpreting tasks, according to the chosen pathway.<\/h4><\/li>
