As part of its community engagement initiative aimed at training and developing translation \u200e\u200estudents from universities across Yemen, as well as enhancing collaboration between Sana’a \u200eUniversity and other educational institutions in Yemen, the Community Center for \u200eTranslation and \u200eLanguage Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana’a University hosted a field visit for students from the Media \u200eDepartment at the University of Science and Technology, \u200eaccompanied by their instructor Dr. \u200eEssam Al-Jubai.\u200e
\nUpon arrival, Assoc. Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, Director of the Center; Dr. Abdulwadood \u200eAnnuzaili, \u200eHead of the Translation Department; and Dr. Faisal Al-Dawli, Head of the Translation \u200eUnit, warmly \u200ewelcomed the visiting students. During the visit, a brief training workshop focused on \u200emedia translation was conducted, in which \u200estudents explored the significance of media translation \u200ein the contemporary landscape of \u200eglobalization and digital advancement. They were introduced to \u200ethe key characteristics of media \u200eand journalism language, the impact of social media, and the \u200etechniques and methodologies \u200eemployed in media translation.\u200e
\nThe workshop also addressed the various challenges faced by media translators and strategies for \u200eovercoming these difficulties. Students also had the opportunity to visit the Translation Unit and \u200ethe Language Review and Editing Unit, where they were informed about the translation processes \u200eundertaken by the center and the types of documents and media materials it handles.\u200e
\nThe Center Director highlighted the vital role of CCTLT in \u200esupporting \u200estudents and \u200eresearchers in translation and language teaching, explaining the Center’s academic and professional training services, and their \u200e\u200e\u200epotential benefits to students.
\nAt the end of the visit, the students of University of Science and Technology \u200eexpressed their \u200esincere appreciation \u200eto \u200e\u200ethe Center’s administration and staff for their hospitality and the valuable \u200elearning opportunitues \u200ethey were offered in the Center.\u200e<\/h3>\n\n
