Sana\u2019a, August 30, 2025\u200e<\/p>\n

The Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana\u2019a \u200eUniversity hosted, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, a group of students from the Department \u200eof English and Translation at the Knowledge and Modern Science University\u200e. The visit \u200eformed part of the community service activities provided by the Center to Yemeni \u200euniversities, aimed at strengthening academic cooperation and the exchange of expertise \u200eamong higher education institutions.\u200e<\/p>\n

The visiting delegation consisted of 13 male and female students accompanied by Dr. \u200eGhadeer Al-Aubal. They were received by Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, the Center\u2019s Director; \u200eDr. Faisal Al-Dawli, Head of the Translation Unit; Ms. Somia Al-Sumaini, Training and \u200eQualification Officer; and Public Relations Officer, Ms. Saba Al-Arshani; and a number of \u200etranslators.\u200e<\/p>\n

During the visit, the students observed translation practices on site and benefited from the \u200eexpertise of the Center\u2019s translators through discussion sessions on general translation and \u200epractical exposure to the application of modern translation techniques and methods. They \u200ewere also introduced to advanced electronic tools used in translation, the integration of \u200eartificial intelligence tools into translation processes, and the professional translator\u2019s role in \u200eediting and reviewing translations.\u200e<\/p>\n

The program further included an overview of the types of documents translated at the Center, \u200ethe challenges translators face, common errors and approaches to addressing them. The \u200estudents were also introduced to the Center\u2019s academic, training, and professional \u200edevelopment program, toured its facilities, and explored the benefits of its services in both \u200eacademic and professional contexts.\u200e<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the \u200eCenter\u2019s management and the Translation Unit for their warm reception and support, \u200eunderscoring the Center\u2019s important role in serving the community and in developing the \u200eskills of students and researchers across Yemeni universities.\u200e<\/p>\n
