The event was held under the auspices of the University President, Prof. \u200eMohammed Al-Bukhaiti.\u200e<br \/>\nProf. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, Director of the Center, inaugurated the webinar with a welcoming \u200eaddress to the participants, including academics and students from various public and private \u200eYemeni universities. He emphasized the vital role of translation in today\u2019s world, particularly in \u200elight of the rapid transformations driven by digitization and globalization.\u200e<br \/>\nThe event witnessed a remarkable academic turnout and wide participation from translation and \u200elanguage teaching specialists across several universities. The number of participants on the Zoom \u200eplatform reached 138, with more than 1,100 viewers following the live broadcast via the Center&#8217;s \u200eFacebook page, YouTube channel, and other social media platforms.\u200e<br \/>\nEight scholarly papers were presented, addressing the challenges of translation in the context of \u200edigital transformation and technological developments, especially the use of AI in translation \u200ebetween Arabic and several foreign languages, including English, French, German, and Persian. \u200eThe speakers discussed key themes such as risk management in machine translation, the impact of \u200eAI on translator training, and the challenges of translating cultural and dialectical nuances in the \u200edigital age. The presentations were delivered according to the webinar&#8217;s agenda as follows:\u200e<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Prof. Abdulhameed A. Ashuja&#8217;a: \u201cFound in Translation, Lost in Education\u201d (English)\u200e<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Assoc. Prof. Eman Mohammed Barakat: \u201cA New Translator Training Platform in the \u200eAI Era\u201d (English)\u200e<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Dr. Abdulwadood Ahmed Annuzaili: \u201cThe Role of Risk Management in AI &amp; Machine \u200eTranslation\u201d (English)\u200e<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Assoc. Prof. Ibraheem N.A. Tagaddeen: \u201cDigital Tongues and Cultural Silence: AI \u200eTranslation of Dialectal Nuances\u201d (English)\u200e<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Dr. Faisal Ali Al-Dawli: \u201cAI Prompt Engineering: Unlocking Excellence in Translation, \u200eEditing, and Proofreading\u201d (English)\u200e<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Dr. Idrees Al-Huraibi: \u201cArtificial Intelligence and the Challenges of Translation between \u200eArabic and French\u201d (French)\u200e<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Dr. Yahya Obaid Saleh Obaid: \u201cChallenges of Translation between Arabic and Persian \u200eUsing Artificial Intelligence\u201d (Persian)\u200e<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Rafid Al-Asar: \u201cArtificial Intelligence and the Challenges of Translation between Arabic \u200eand German\u201d (German)\u200e<\/p>\n<p>The webinar concluded with academic recommendations emphasizing the need to enhance the \u200eintegration of AI in translation practices taking into consideration the linguistic and cultural \u200especificities.
