The Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana\u2019a University \u200ewelcomed today Level-Four students of the Translation Department at Yemen & \u200eGulf University for Science and Technology. The field visit, which included 15 students accompanied by Dr. \u200eMohammed Al-Mahfadi, aimed at enhancing the students\u2019 translation skills through exposure to real-life sessions in translation at CCTLT, strengthening academic \u200ecollaboration between Sana\u2019a University and private universities, and exchanging expertise in translation and language-teaching fields.\u200e<\/p>\n
The visiting delegation was received by the Center\u2019s Director, Dr. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, the \u200eHead of the Translation Unit, Dr. Faisal Al-Dawli, and the Public Relations Officer, Ms. Saba \u200eAl-Arshani, who welcomed the students and provided them with an overview of the Center\u2019s tasks, activities, \u200eservices, and training programs.\u200e<\/p>\n
During the visit, students were introduced to the Center\u2019s various activities in foreign language \u200eteaching and specialized translation training. They also learned about the Center\u2019s role in \u200edeveloping linguistic competencies and enhancing the skills of learners and professionals.\u200e<\/p>\n
The program included a tour of the Translation Unit, where students observed document-processing procedures, became acquainted with the nature of the Unit\u2019s work, and learned \u200eabout the main challenges faced by translators. They were also briefed on the quality \u200eassurance standards and procedures followed to ensure accuracy and quality in translation \u200eoutputs.\u200e<\/p>\n
Center officials reaffirmed Sana\u2019a University\u2019s commitment to expanding cooperation \u200echannels with both public and private universities, in ways that contribute to developing \u200etranslation programs and improving the quality of educational outcomes and specialized \u200etranslation services.\u200e<\/p>\n
This visit forms part of the Center\u2019s broader efforts to provide training, capacity-building, and \u200eadvisory services to translation students and graduates across various universities, while \u200eoffering practical application opportunities that align with modern developments and labor-market needs.\u200e<\/p>\n\n
