Ms.<\/strong> Ma’reb Abdullah Hasan Al-Dumaini <\/strong>was awarded a Master’s degree in the major of Orthodontics for her thesis titled, “Risk Prediction of Maxillary Canine Impaction Among 9\u201312-Year-Old Yemeni Children: A Radiographic Study<\/strong>,” which was submitted to the Department of Orthodontics, Paediatric, and Preventive Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry- Sana\u2019a University. The defense was held on Thursday, October 30, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The study aimed to<\/strong> evaluate the factors of risk prediction of maxillary canine impaction among Yemeni children aged (9\u201312 years) using panoramic radiographs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The study<\/strong> reached several important findings<\/strong>, the most significant of which are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The mean position of maxillary canines among Yemeni children falls within a satisfactorily safe range<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • The risk of maxillary canine impaction is relatively low<\/strong> in Yemeni children within this specific age group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    The study <\/strong>concluded with several important recommendations<\/strong>, most notably:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Pay special attention to angular measurements<\/strong> and the positions of sector locations (II, III, and IV)<\/strong> when utilizing panoramic radiographs.<\/li>\n
    • Implement awareness campaigns<\/strong> to educate parents about the importance of early dental evaluations during the mixed dentition period<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Conduct longitudinal studies<\/strong> to assess the long-term outcomes of early radiographic predictions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

       <\/p>\n

      The study <\/strong>was examined and recommended by the MA Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance<\/strong> and approval<\/strong>. The defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, and interested individuals, in addition to the candidate\u2019s colleagues and family members.<\/p>\n
