Ms. Alaa Abdulrahman Badri Abdulmukhtar <\/strong>was awarded a Master’s degree in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry\u2013Clinical Restorative Dentistry <\/strong>for her thesis titled: Effectiveness of Laser in Combination with Silver Diamine Fluoride in the Management of Tooth Hypersensitivity among a Group of Yemenis in Sana\u2019a City<\/em><\/strong>, which was submitted to the Faculty of Dentistry <\/strong>\u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The MA defense was held on Monday, October 27, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The thesis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of combining diode laser therapy with silver diamine fluoride in the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The study yielded a number of key findings summarized as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The combination of silver diamine fluoride and diode laser proved effective in reducing tooth hypersensitivity.<\/li>\n
  • A sustained and significant improvement was observed over a three-month follow-up period.<\/li>\n
  • The approach showed statistically significant differences in reducing hypersensitivity among patients of both genders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Based on the findings, the researcher recommended:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Conducting further research to assess the long-term stability of the positive results obtained.<\/li>\n
    • Conducting additional studies on larger samples covering different ages, genders, and population groups.<\/li>\n
    • Providing training for dentists on the combined use of diode laser and silver diamine fluoride.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and interested participants, colleagues and the researcher\u2019s family members.<\/p>\n
