This morning, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences held its periodic meeting of the faculty council, chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Periodic Meeting – April 2024, Dr. Khaled Al-khamesy. During the meeting, the previous meeting was reviewed, approved, and adopted. The meeting then proceeded to discuss several important issues related to the college and its development, including<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– <\/strong>Approval of the new strategic plan for the Faculty for the period 2024-2028: The strategic plan for the Faculty was approved with the aim of meeting international academic accreditation standards, enhancing the quality of medical education, and developing scientific research in the Faculty. It focuses on developing infrastructure, improving the learning environment, promoting international cooperation, and enhancing medical education and continuing medical education programs<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– <\/strong>Approval of the new program description for Medicine and Surgery: The new program description was approved, aiming to improve the educational methodology, develop clinical skills, and enhance scientific research in the field of medicine and surgery<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These decisions reflect the Faculty\u2019s commitment to improving the quality of medical education and scientific research, and enhance its role as a leading center for medical education and healthcare. It is expected that these steps will contribute to the development of the college and the achievement of future goals in enhancing healthcare and graduating skilled physicians<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Further important topics were discussed during the meeting, which concluded at 1:00 PM<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Medical faculties and Hospitals Affairs, Dr. Abdul Latif Abu Talib, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Motaa, the Vice Deans of the faculty and the Director of Kuwait University Hospital, and the heads of the basic and clinical departments of all programs<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
