The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Sana’a, University in collaboration between the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Cardiology and Cardiovascular, organized a successful scientific event at Kuwait University Hospital. This event aims to highlight the importance of reducing maternal heart disease-related deaths during the period of pregnancy and childbirth <\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u200f<\/strong>The event included discussions on various complex cases faced by pregnant women with heart disease. Knowledge and expertise were exchanged among obstetricians, gynecologists, cardiologists, and cardiovascular specialists to improve healthcare for this important patient population <\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u200f<\/strong>Based on the outcomes of the discussions, specialists recommended the formation of a dedicated team comprising members experienced in women’s health, obstetrics, cardiology, cardiovascular and anesthesia, to monitor pregnancy and childbirth. This team will focus on improving early diagnosis and providing comprehensive care to patients, in addition to promoting awareness and training to minimize cardiac complications during the perinatal period <\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u200f<\/strong>It is important to emphasize that the formation of the specialized team will be based on the diverse qualifications and experiences of its members, contributing to achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes and reducing heart disease-related deaths during this critical period<\/strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u200f<\/strong>This scientific event represents a significant step towards enhancing healthcare for pregnant women with heart disease and emphasizes the importance of collaboration among different departments to achieve the best results and provide optimal care for patients <\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u200f<\/strong>The scientific event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Khaled Alkhamesy and Director of Al-Thawra Hospital, Dr. Hamdan Al-bajri, the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Aliya Shuaib, the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Center at the University Hospital, Dr. Salah Al-Shawki, <\/strong>and Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at September 21 University, Prof. Dr. Salwa Al-Ghomairi <\/strong>and a large number of consultants in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, and cardiology, as well as postgraduate students .<\/strong><\/p>\n
