As part of ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness, a distinguished scientific event was held at the Heart Center of the Al-Thawra Hospital, titled The Importance of the Impact of Elevated Harmful Fats in the Blood on the Heart and Blood Vessels. The event was attended by several specialists in the field of cardiology, led by Prof. Mohammed Al-Kebsi, the center’s director, and Prof. Ahmed Al-Mutreb, head of the cardiology department.<\/h4>\n

The event addressed the impact of elevated harmful fats, such as low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglycerides, on heart and vascular health. These fats are considered major factors threatening cardiovascular health, as they accumulate in the walls of blood vessels, leading to their hardening and narrowing, which can impede blood flow and increase the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and coronary artery diseases.<\/h4>\n

The event included several lectures discussing preventive measures and strategies for managing elevated harmful fats, with attendees showing significant engagement with the topics presented. This event contributed to enhancing public understanding of the importance of cardiovascular health and ways to maintain it.<\/h4>\n

Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Khaled Al-Khamesy expressed his gratitude to colleagues for inviting him to participate in this scientific event. He also praised the performance of the all postgraduate (MD) students who delivered their presentations during the event, highlighting their vital role in disseminating knowledge and raising awareness about the dangers of harmful fats and their impact on health.<\/h4>\n

The dean emphasized the importance of adhering to quality standards in performance to ensure patient safety and avoid medical errors, stressing the need to enhance therapeutic nutrition and appoint specialists within the hospital. He also addressed the significance of academic accreditation in improving and developing the educational process within the program.<\/h4>\n
