A scientific professional meeting was held this morning via the “Zoom” platform, attended by international expert Professor *Ibrahim Al-Jundi*, a specialist from the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Egypt. The meeting discussed the international academic accreditation standards for the Medicine and Surgery program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Sana’a, as part of the Faculty efforts to obtain international accreditation from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and to align with global best practices.<\/h4>\n

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Khaled Al-Khamesy, Dean of the Faculty, with the participation of Dr. Huda Al-Imad, Director of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center at the university, and Dr. Saleh Bahaj, a national expert and coordinator for accreditation with the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance, in addition to the heads and members of the committees specialized in academic standards.<\/h4>\n

The meeting focused on reviewing the international academic standards for the Medicine and Surgery program, examining the attached documents, performance indicators, and self-assessment reports. The international expert provided developmental feedback based on his extensive experience in quality assurance and international accreditation. Participants also discussed ways to enhance alignment between the college’s educational system and the requirements of international bodies, with an emphasis on improving follow-up and evaluation mechanisms.<\/h4>\n

It is noteworthy that the University of Sana’a places a top priority on the file of international academic accreditation, stemming from its vision to enhance the college’s status as a leading scientific institution in the region, contributing to sustainable development\u00a0in\u00a0Yemen.<\/h4>\n
