Within the framework of strategic partnership between academic institutions and medical \u200eregulatory bodies, the Electronic Center at the \u200eSana\u2019a University, today hosted the fourth round of competency examinations of 2025 \u200erequired for medical practice licensing. The examinations were organized by the Medical \u200eCouncil and attended by 3,923 applicants holding bachelor\u2019s and diploma degrees across \u200evarious medical specialties.\u200e<\/h3>\n

During an inspection tour of the examination halls, the Minister of Health and \u200eEnvironment, Dr. Ali Shiban, emphasized that these examinations constitute a \u200efundamental mechanism for enhancing the competence of medical professionals and \u200eensuring their readiness for field service. He noted that obtaining a professional practice \u200elicense has become a mandatory prerequisite for engaging in any health-related activity, \u200eserving as a key safeguard for strengthening public confidence in the national healthcare \u200esystem.\u200e<\/h3>\n

In turn, the President of the Medical Council, Dr. Abdulkarim Shiban, commended the \u200ecooperation with Sana\u2019a University, highlighting that this session marks the first time the \u200eCouncil has fully implemented electronic examinations. He stressed that this transition \u200eensures the highest levels of transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in the assessment and \u200eannouncement of results.\u200e<\/h3>\n

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Medical Council, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-\u200eHammadi, outlined the distribution of applicants across key medical disciplines. Among \u200ebachelor\u2019s degree holders, the candidates included: Medicine (626), Dentistry (306), \u200eLaboratory Sciences (265), Pharmacy (371), Clinical Pharmacy (58), and Nursing (173), in \u200eaddition to Midwifery, Radiology, Anesthesiology, and Clinical Nutrition. Diploma \u200eholders included Physician Assistants (469), Midwifery (485), Nursing (188), Pharmacy \u200e\u200e(349), along with other technical specializations such as Emergency Care and Operations.\u200e<\/h3>\n

Hosting this national event reflects the center pioneering role as a center \u200eof academic and technological excellence, providing advanced electronic infrastructure \u200efor the professional administration of large-scale national examinations. This effort \u200econtributes to strengthening the quality of medical education outcomes in Yemen and \u200eensuring the availability of a well-qualified healthcare workforce capable of effectively \u200eserving the community.<\/h3>\n
