\nThe Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana\u2019a University successfully concluded the final clinical and oral examinations in Internal Medicine today. Held at Al-Thawra General Modern Hospital and Kuwait University Hospital, the sessions represent one of the largest examination operations in the Faculty’s history.
\nThe exams evaluated the 37th cohort, the largest graduating class to date, comprising 730 students. This record number presented an unprecedented logistical and academic challenge, requiring extensive coordination across multiple medical departments and healthcare facilities.
\nProf. Mohammed Al-Shehari, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, commended the exceptional efforts of the Department of Internal Medicine. He stated that the successful execution of these exams exceeded expectations and serves as a testament to the professional dedication of the faculty staff.
\nDr. Al-Shehari highlighted the vital contribution of the Departmental Council and senior consultant professors. Notably, several emeritus professors who have reached legal retirement age continued to provide their academic expertise, ensuring the rigorous standards of the assessment were met.
\nThe examinations were conducted through a highly structured and meticulous process. Over a ten-day period, approximately 140 students were assessed daily, with 70 students assigned to Kuwait University Hospital and 70 to Al-Thawra General Hospital. This strategic distribution ensured a seamless flow, maintained equity, and upheld rigorous academic standards. Students underwent a comprehensive evaluation encompassing clinical skills, analytical capabilities, and adherence to medical ethics
\nSpecialized academic committees, supported by teaching assistants and administrative staff, ensured a stable and disciplined environment, managing complex patient cases for clinical evaluation with high professionalism.
\nThe Faculty Dean expressed deep appreciation for the strategic cooperation with the leadership of both Al-Thawra and Kuwait Hospitals. Their support in providing a suitable clinical environment was essential for accommodating such a high volume of students.
\nThese clinical assessments follow the completion of written and electronic exams (including MCQs and Short Answer formats) as part of Sana\u2019a University\u2019s strategy to elevate the quality of medical education. With the conclusion of the Medicine exams, the Faculty has met a major milestone in qualifying this exceptional cohort for their future professional practice within the healthcare sector.<\/h3>\n
