SANA\u2019A, Yemen \u2013 The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana\u2019a University has reached the fifth consecutive day of comprehensive clinical and oral examinations for its 37th cohort of medical students. Approximately 140 final-year (Level 6) Medicine and Surgery students are currently undergoing rigorous evaluations at Kuwait University Hospital and Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority.
\nThese examinations represent a critical milestone in the students’ transition from academic study to professional medical practice. This week\u2019s focus is on Pediatrics, where students are required to demonstrate their proficiency before specialized medical boards. The assessment measures clinical examination skills, diagnostic reasoning, and professional decision-making.
\nDr. Mohammed Al-Shehari, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, emphasized that these intensive assessments are vital for maintaining international standards in medical education.
\n“This stage is the culmination of years of dedicated study and clinical rotations,” Dr. Al-Shahari stated. “Our examination boards are designed to ensure that every graduate possesses the scientific competence and compassionate bedside manner required to serve the community.”
\nThe Dean further explained that the examination committees utilize a precise distribution mechanism to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates. By utilizing the university’s teaching hospitals, students are tested in an authentic environment that mirrors the challenges of modern healthcare.
