Mr. <\/strong>Marwan Mutea Naji Musleh <\/strong>was awarded a Master\u2019s Degree in Hematology and Blood Transfusion <\/strong>with an average of Very Good and a grade of (89<\/strong>) for his thesis titled: Prevalence of Iron Deficiency among Adult Patients with Heart Failure in Cardiac Centers in Yemen \u2013 Sana\u2019a<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em>which was submitted to the Department of Hematology, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences \u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The MA defense was held on Saturday, April 11, 2026<\/strong>\u200e\u200e<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Determine the prevalence of iron deficiency among patients with heart failure in cardiac centers in Sana\u2019a.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

    Compare the prevalence of iron deficiency among patients with and without anemia.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • \n

      Iron deficiency is highly prevalent among heart failure patients in Sana\u2019a, affecting \u200eapproximately two-thirds of the studied sample. \u200e<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
    • \n

      It often occurs independently of anemia, indicating it as a distinct clinical condition. \u200e<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
    • \n

      A significant association was found between iron deficiency and clinical indicators \u200eof disease severity, including reduced cardiac function and signs of congestion.\u200e<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:\u200e<\/h3>\n

        Conducting routine screening for iron levels among heart failure patients in cardiac \u200e<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
      • \n

        Utilizing serum ferritin levels and transferrin saturation as primary diagnostic \u200e \u200e<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

        Integrating the assessment of iron deficiency into heart failure treatment protocols to \u200emonitor treatment response and symptom improvement.\u200e<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/h3>\n
