SANA\u2019A \u2013 June 6, 2026 \u2014 The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana\u2019a University officially commenced the first-phase, part-one examinations today for postgraduate students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) clinical program. The exams are a core component of the program\u2019s approved academic curriculum and a key milestone toward specialized clinical certification.
\nThe computer-based testing (CBT) included multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering several advanced medical specialties: Dermatology, Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery, Otolaryngology (ENT), Urology, Orthopedic and Joint Surgery, and Ophthalmology. This initiative reflects the faculty\u2019s strategic focus on expanding subspecialty medical education and preparing a highly qualified healthcare workforce in accordance with international academic and professional standards.
\nSana\u2019a University\u2019s clinical MD program is the first of its kind in the Republic of Yemen. It represents a qualitative leap in postgraduate medical education by providing an advanced academic and clinical training pathway designed to certify physicians across various clinical specialties using modern, rigorous scientific methodologies.
\nThe implementation of this program aligns with the faculty\u2019s vision to elevate specialized medical education and strengthen the capacity of national academic and healthcare institutions.
