Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University, in collaboration with Academic Development Center and Quality Assurance (ADCQA), hosts two specialized workshops to approve the program specification documents for its nursing and graduate programs (Master\u2019s and Ph.D.). The events are held under the auspices of Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Sana’a University Rector, with the participation of elite faculty members and academic experts.
\nThe first workshop, dedicated to reviewing and approving the Master\u2019s program specifications, will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The second workshop, focusing on the Ph.D. program, will follow on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. These workshops are part of the university’s ongoing academic efforts to modernize curricula, align them with national and international standards, and fulfill academic accreditation requirements.
\nBoth workshops will feature an in-depth review of the program specification documents based on approved quality assurance methodologies. This includes accurately defining intended learning outcomes (ILOs), restructuring courses to align with required professional and research competencies, and developing objective evaluation mechanisms to measure outcome achievement. Additionally, participants will discuss local and international accreditation requirements to enhance the programs’ readiness.
\nThese workshops represent an advanced stage in the faculty’s academic program development. Following the completion of the initial drafting phase, these sessions serve to finalize and approve the specifications after thorough consultation with academic departments and specialists. The documents will then be submitted to the Academic Accreditation Council for official endorsement, aiming to elevate the quality of program outcomes and enhance local and international recognition for the faculty’s graduates.
\nThis initiative is part of an integrated plan to advance graduate studies at both the Master\u2019s and Ph.D. levels. Through these efforts, the faculty seeks to build an advanced academic framework grounded in rigorous scientific standards.
