The session opened on Saturday, Feb. 7, with a high-profile screening of the documentary &#8220;Steady Step&#8221; (Khutwa Thabita), a student-led production that bridges academic theory with professional cinematography.<br \/>\nThe documentary highlights the entrepreneurial journey of the founder of &#8220;Haraz Coffee.&#8221; Through sophisticated storytelling, the film tracks the brand\u2019s evolution from a local startup to a prominent investment landmark and a popular cultural destination at the Sana\u2019a Unity Club.<br \/>\nThe project was developed under the supervision of Dr. Saleh Humaid, Professor of Mass Communication. The defense committee, which featured distinguished academics Dr. Abdulbaset Al-Hattami and Dr. Hussein Jughman, praised the students for their technical precision and creative execution.<\/p>\n<p>Following an in-depth review of the film\u2019s narrative structure and directorial techniques, the committee awarded the production team a grade of &#8220;Excellent&#8221;, the university&#8217;s highest academic honor.<br \/>\nThe award-winning project was researched, produced, and directed by a collaborative team of female media students:<br \/>\n&#8211; Manal Al-Qahzi<br \/>\n&#8211; Safaa Al-Matari<br \/>\n&#8211; Ferdous Al-Hasani<br \/>\n&#8211; Abeer Safwan<br \/>\n&#8211; Ruqaya Sarea<br \/>\n&#8211; Fairouz Bagheel<br \/>\n&#8211; Basma Dawood<br \/>\n&#8220;Steady Step&#8221; is part of a broader initiative by the Faculty of Mass Communication to equip students with the tools necessary for the modern media landscape.
