Master’s Degree Awarded to Mr. Hamed Khaled Al-Kohlani in Radio and Television<\/p>\n

Mr. Hamed Khaled Al-Kohlani was awarded a Master’s degree in the major of Radio and Television<\/p>\n

with a grade of (Excellent) and an average of (95%) for his thesis titled ” The Use of Radio and Social Media by Yemeni Blind Individuals and its Relationship to Their Level of Social Interaction,” which was submitted to Department of Radio and Television, Faculty of Mass Communication – Sana’a University. The defense was held on Monday, February 16, 2026.<\/p>\n

The study aimed to explore how Yemeni Blind individuals in Yemen utilize traditional radio and modern social media platforms. The study specifically analyzed the correlation between these media habits and the subjects’ levels of social engagement.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The key findings of the study include the following:<\/p>\n

Radio remains a primary and essential source of information for the blind individuals in Yemen.<\/p>\n

Social media platforms are increasingly becoming critical spaces for interaction, networking, and building social relationships among this demographic.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The study concluded with several key recommendations, notably:<\/p>\n

Developing digital media content that is specifically designed to meet the accessibility needs of the blind individuals.<\/p>\n

Enhancing training programs to empower individuals with the technical skills needed for effective media engagement.<\/p>\n

Encouraging media organizations to adopt institutional policies that actively integrate and represent people with visual disabilities.<\/p>\n

The study was examined and recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance and approval. The defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, interested individuals, in addition to the candidate\u2019s colleagues and family members.<\/p>\n
