It is one of the scientific departments in the faculty, and represented a starting point for teaching the Persian language in Yemen. Over the successive academic years, it has gained a high academic reputation. The goal of its establishment was, and still is, to qualify an integrated scientific cadre with high scientific and professional efficiency that contributes to Persian language and translation education services in society and participates in related scientific research inside and outside Yemen. The department has sought to keep pace with the rapid development in the field of translation and Persian language education.
Excellence in teaching the Persian language and providing the labor market with distinguished graduates on professional and personal levels.
The Persian Language Department seeks to teach its students the Persian language and its various sciences using modern technology and through an environment stimulating creativity, to prepare a conscious graduate possessing high linguistic and communicative abilities in the Persian language. This qualifies them to compete at the Arab world level in serving their community in various Persian language fields such as translation and others.
1. Equipping the student with what they need in teaching and learning the Persian language from language sciences, literature, translation, and culture.
2. Achieving qualitative and quantitative excellence in Persian language education and providing a distinguished service to the community in the fields of communication, translation, and language education.
3. Providing a scientific academic environment that helps the student develop and stimulate communication and creative thinking skills to solve the difficulties they face.
