The training program on “Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment”\u2014organized by the Department of Environmental Sciences at the Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources, in coordination with the Quality Management Department, and in cooperation with the Arab Institute for Safety Sciences\u2014continued today, Wednesday, August 12, 2026, for the fifth consecutive day, as part of the term activity plan for the academic year 2026\u20132027.<\/h3>\n

\u200bOn its final day, the program witnessed remarkable attendance and engagement from participants. The sessions covered a number of fundamental topics related to occupational health, safety, and environmental concepts, as well as the importance of applying preventive measures in various work environments. Additionally, occupational hazards were introduced, along with methods for identifying and evaluating them in accordance with best practices and approved standards.<\/h3>\n

\u200bThe program also included discussions and practical applications aimed at developing participants’ skills in dealing with potential hazards and promoting a culture of prevention and proper emergency response, thereby contributing to a safer work and educational environment.<\/h3>\n

\u200bThe implementation of this program aligns with the faculty’s commitment to qualifying its students and staff scientifically and professionally, as well as embedding a culture of occupational health and safety as a core requirement for working in environmental sciences, earth sciences, and petroleum and gas engineering. This enhances graduates’ readiness to meet labor market demands in line with modern professional standards.<\/h3>\n

\u200bWith the conclusion of today’s sessions on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the training program comes to a close, having offered over its five days a series of lectures and practical activities that contributed to developing the participants’ knowledge and skills in occupational health, safety, and environment.<\/h3>\n
