Ms. Malak Fadl Mohammed Ahmed Al-Nood<\/strong> was awarded a Master’s degree in Procedural Law for her thesis titled “Seizure of Shares, Stocks, and Bonds in Yemeni Law: A Comparative Study with Egyptian and Emirati Law<\/strong>“, which was submitted to Faculty of Sharia and Law – Sana’a University. The defense was held on Thursday, September 18, 2025<\/strong>, corresponding to Rabi’ al-Awwal<\/strong> 26, 1447 <\/strong>Hijri.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following members:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The thesis aimed to<\/strong> clarify the nature and characteristics of shares, stocks, and bonds, and to outline the procedures for attaching financial securities in Yemen. It included a comparative study of Egyptian and Emirati laws. The research also highlighted legislative deficiencies in Yemeni law and proposed suitable legislative solutions.<\/p>\n

The thesis <\/strong>concluded that shares, stocks, and bonds are subject to the rules of compulsory execution as movable assets<\/strong>. However, the methods of attachment vary depending on the type and possession of these securities. The thesis <\/strong>also found that the Yemeni legislator has not established specific procedures for the attachment of these securities, leaving them to be governed by general rules.<\/p>\n

The researcher recommended<\/strong> the urgent issuance of modern legislation to regulate the Seizure <\/strong>of shares, stocks, and bonds in a manner consistent with their economic nature and importance. She also proposed specific legal provisions that would compel debtors to disclose all their financial assets and impose penalties on those who attempt to conceal these assets.<\/p>\n

The thesis<\/strong> was examined and recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance<\/strong> and approval<\/strong>. The defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, interested individuals, in addition to the candidate\u2019s colleagues and family members.<\/p>\n
