The Public Viva-Voce Examination for the MSc Dissertation<\/strong> entitled, \u201cModification of Natural Pumice as Adsorbent for the Removal of some Inorganic Ions form Aqueous Solutions\u201d<\/u><\/em><\/strong>,<\/u><\/strong> submitted by Ms. \u00a0<\/strong>Ghadeer Yahya Saleh Mohsen Al-Mahweeti<\/u><\/strong>, Department of Chemistry, <\/em><\/u><\/strong>Faculty of Science<\/u><\/strong>, was held on Wednesday<\/strong> 15\/03\/1446<\/strong> Hijri corresponding to 18\/09\/2024. <\/strong>The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The study aimed to<\/p>\n

– Remove certain ionic pollutants from drinking water using pumice, a type of volcanic rock found in the Yemeni environment, after modifying its surface.<\/p>\n

– Modify the surface of pumice, a type of volcanic rock found in the Yemeni environment, to remove certain ionic pollutants such as fluoride and iron ions from drinking water.<\/p>\n
