The MA defense was held on <strong>Thursday, June 18, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> Abdullah Ali Al-Qurashi<\/strong> External Examiner Chair<\/li>\n<li><strong> Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Mekhlafi<\/strong> Main Supervisor Member<\/li>\n<li><strong> Abdulkarim Mohammed Al-Duais<\/strong> Internal Examiner Member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The study aimed to identify the role of oversight bodies in combating corruption through an examination of the National Supreme Authority for Combating Corruption as a model.<\/p>\n<p>The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There are legal and legislative obstacles that limit the Authority&#8217;s ability to perform its \u200eduties effectively.\u200e<\/li>\n<li>No statistically significant differences were found among the responses of the study \u200eparticipants regarding the fundamental requirements necessary for the Authority to perform \u200eits functions and its contributions to combating and preventing corruption.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:\u200e<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eliminating the overlap and conflict in the roles of oversight bodies responsible for \u200eprotecting public funds.\u200e<\/li>\n<li>Encouraging investigative journalism in corruption-related cases.\u200e<\/li>\n<li>Establishing specialized courts to adjudicate corruption cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The defense session was attended by academics, researchers, students, and individuals interested in public administration and development issues, along with the researcher\u2019s colleagues and family members.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium
