Prime Minister Discusses with Rector of Sana’a University Scientific and Academic Aspects [09/Jan/2022]
The Prime Minister, Prof. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, praised the efforts made by Sana’a University and its leadership to promote and develop the leading scientific and academic role of the prestigious university.
During his meeting today with the of Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Al-Qassim Abass, the Prime Minister acknowledged the development programs and the steps achieved, including their local and external dimensions, to consolidate the scientific position of this academic institution, which has played a significant role for half a century in the service of human and social development.
Furthermore, he highly valued the scientific and patriotic performance of the academic staff and their steadfastness in performing the important national mission for the present and future of Yemen.
The meeting discussed ways of addressing the financial situation of the academic staff, preserving them from dropping out, and communicating with academics abroad to return home or work in scientific research in academic fields under the umbrella of Sana’a University.
Moreover, the meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining the regional and international ranking of the University by the regional concerned authorities. By maintaining the same level of ranking, the University has made as a significant achievement despite the current circumstances.
Sana’a University Rector briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of the educational and academic process, the achievement in the development of academic programs in its various faculties, as well as the scientific conferences that enhance the scientific and research aspects in them. He also expressed his appreciation for the Government’s support and encouragement for the University and its various activities and programs, which has a direct positive impact on both the educational and academic aspects.
