Introduction:

Organizational (Administrative) Psychology provides scientific and academic foundations for learners who seek to become psychologists in public administration and business management. It enables them to become qualified practitioners of the science and art of management. The students are expected to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the business administration and psychology of organizational business. The Organizational Psychology Program is intended to provide learners with the abilities to understand the fundamentals of business administration, including its professional, technical, and administrative aspects and skills. The program usually includes a set of courses and electives that cover the tools needed by a successful manager in any sector of business, including (process, marketing, strategic planning, financing, human resources, small industries, etc.).  

About the Program:

The Master’s program in Organizational Psychology is an academic, scientific, and educational program that focuses, as a psychology subdivision, on the study of human behaviour in management and organization within institutions, organizations, and workplaces.

Importance of the Program:

Organizational psychology contributes to the success of institutions and organizations by improving administrative and organizational performance, providing appropriate motivation, career commitment, administrative and organizational justice, flexibility, as well as other related topics associated with the development in psychological and administrative studies. Organizational psychology also focuses on improving administrative performance for individuals within institutions and organizations through management and employment practices aimed at improving work quality and increasing production.

Mission

Administrative Organizational Psychology seeks to contribute to solving a wide range of common issues and problems in the community through developing a set of qualities, physical traits and information developed by experts, with focus on the most administrative & organizational psychology predictions that correspond to the problem causes, form and history.

Organizational Psychology Program targets the following:

Various academic specializations in different fields, including psychology, administrative and educational sciences, and other related fields.

Introducing the basic concepts and trends in administrative and organizational guidance, as well as scientific and academic psychotherapy from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The program includes a detailed study of theoretical and practical trends and activities of the major psychological program in counselling and guidance, in addition to behavioral, human, emotional analysis, and selective knowledge. It also involves comparing and evaluating scientific theories in terms of their strengths and weaknesses, with a focus on enhancing the strengths.

Admission Requirements:

Applicants must:

  1. hold a bachelor’s degree from a Yemeni university, any other recognized university or equivalent.

  2. pass the personal interview determined by the department.

  3. not have been expelled from any university for disciplinary reasons.

  4. comply with the admission requirements specified in the unified regulations for graduate studies and their executive rules at the university

Tuition Fees:

The tuition fees for two academic years are $3000 at the Central Bank’s exchange rate (250) YERs, equivalent to 750,000 YERs, including the teaching fees for the thirty-three-hour program, in addition to three credit hours for the thesis, covering supervision and discussion fees and costs.
