As part of the practical requirements for the course “Breeding of Fruit Trees and Perennial Plants,” designated for fourth-year students in the Department of Horticulture and its Techniques, an applied activity was conducted covering two main aspects:
\ud83c\udf38 Morphological Analysis of Flowers
A detailed examination of the components of a diverse selection of flowers was the focus. To achieve a high level of accuracy in the detailed observation of floral parts, a Binocular Stereoscope was used.
\u2022 Defining the Binocular Stereoscope in a Practical Context: The Binocular Stereoscope is an essential optical instrument in biological sciences and horticulture. It provides a magnified and three-dimensional (stereoscopic) view of relatively larger samples (such as plant parts and flowers). This enables students to make detailed observations of intricate structures and minute anatomical features that cannot be seen with the naked eye. This distinguishes it from the Compound Microscope, which is used to examine very thin, transparent specimens.

A comprehensive presentation was given on the essential working tools used in plant breeding and variety improvement processes. This included a practical explanation of the function and correct usage of each tool. This training was supervised by Engineer\/ Taiseer Al-Sanhani.<\/h3>
