Sana\u2019a\u2013Tuesday, April 28, 2026 (11 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1447 AH)\u200e<\/h3>

As part of the summer training program, third-level students at the Department of Animal \u200eProduction, Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment, conducted a scientific field \u200evisit to the Central Veterinary Laboratory.\u200e<\/h3>

The visit aimed to enhance the students\u2019 practical knowledge and developing their skills \u200ein disease diagnosis and livestock protection. Supervised by Prof. Jamal Al-Qudami and \u200eProf. Amat Al-Rahman Al-Ayyawi, the students learned about laboratory’s operations, \u200eveterinary services, and methods of laboratory-based diagnosis of animal diseases.\u200e

During the visit, students toured several specialized units. In the feed analysis unit, they \u200elearned about Kjeldahl and Soxhlet systems and their role in evaluating feed quality and \u200eimproving animal production. In the pharmacology and toxicology unit, they were \u200eintroduced to High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) techniques used to \u200edetect drug residues, ensuring food safety.\u200e<\/h3>

The visit also included the incubation and hatchery unit, where students observed embryo \u200eincubation techniques and hatchery management processes. In addition, they explored the \u200emolecular and immunological diagnostics unit, where they observed PCR and ELISA \u200etechnologies used for accurate diagnosis of infectious diseases.\u200e<\/h3>

This visit contributed to bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application and \u200eenhancing students\u2019 competencies, enabling them to effectively meet labor market \u200erequirements in the veterinary and animal production fields.\u200e<\/h3>
