Mr. Al-Hassan Mohammed Sharaf Al-Deen \u200e<\/strong>was awarded a Master\u2019s Degree in Agricultural Economics and Cooperation <\/strong>with distinction for his thesis titled: The Role of the Value Chain in Improving the Performance of the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank)<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em>which was submitted to the Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment \u2013 Sana\u2019a University. The MA defense was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026\u200e\u200e.<\/strong><\/h3>

The thesis aimed to:<\/h3>

  • Identify the role of the value chain in improving the performance of the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank).<\/h3><\/li>

  • Analyze the main and supporting activities and their impact on enhancing the bank\u2019s operational efficiency.<\/h3><\/li>

  • Examine the extent to which the implementation of the value chain contributes to strengthening competitiveness and improving the quality of banking services.<\/h3><\/li><\/ul>

    The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:<\/h3>

    • There was a statistically significant positive impact of the value chain on improving the bank\u2019s performance.<\/h3><\/li>

    • Supporting activities and the integration of internal operations contributed to enhancing institutional performance efficiency.<\/h3><\/li>

    • A positive relationship existed between the development of banking activities and the improvement of service quality provided to customers.<\/h3><\/li>

    • Implementing the value chain contributed to cost rationalization and strengthening the bank\u2019s competitive advantage.\u200e<\/h3><\/li><\/ul>

      In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:\u200e<\/h3>

      • Adopting the value chain concept within the bank\u2019s strategic and operational plans.<\/h3><\/li>

      • Enhancing information systems and activity analysis to improve institutional performance efficiency.<\/h3><\/li>

      • Focusing on the development and qualification of human resources to support the quality of banking services and ensure sustainable performance.<\/h3><\/li><\/ul>

        The defense session was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher\u2019s family.<\/h3>
