SANA\u2019A\u2014 In an effort to strengthen practical applications and connect academic courses with field realities, the Department of Agricultural Engineering and Modern Technologies at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment, Sana’a University, executed a field practicum for its students focusing on the operation and maintenance of agricultural machinery, alongside soil preparation inside greenhouses.
The training included instructing students on operating and maintaining manual mechanical rototillers, disassembling and assembling rotary tiller components, and adjusting calibration settings. This hands-on training enhances their understanding of agricultural machinery mechanisms and efficient maintenance methods.
Additionally, students carried out soil tilling, pulverization, and leveling inside greenhouses, preparing the soil for cultivation according to technical standards to build field experience. The session also covered troubleshooting mechanical faults and operating engines, aiming to elevate student capacities, qualify them to manage modern agricultural equipment, and enhance their readiness for the labor market. This application is part of the department\u2019s plan to prepare qualified engineering cadres possessing both scientific knowledge and practical skills to serve the agricultural sector and achieve sustainable development.<\/h3>
