SANA\u2019A\u2014 To reinforce practical field integration and bridge theoretical knowledge with hands-on application, third-year students in the Department of Horticulture and its Techniques continue their practical practicums within the Evergreen Fruit Production course, under the supervision of Eng. Taysir Al-Sanhani.
The fieldwork executed inside the fruit nursery focused on thorough sanitation, including clearing debris, removing residual weed roots from the nursery beds, and replacing old soil with optimized, high-quality soil blends. Students prepared, mixed, transported, and distributed the agricultural soil mixture across the nursery basins.
Furthermore, the practical application included filling cultivation bags with the appropriate agricultural medium and planting a selected batch of mango seeds as part of the scheduled practical experiments. Students will closely monitor the germination and growth stages over the coming period.
This field application is part of the department’s broader plan to prepare and prime the nursery for upcoming cutting-propagation and seeding cycles. It aims to sharpen the students’ technical skills and enhance their field expertise in fruit tree production and propagation, aligning their capabilities with modern agricultural practices.<\/h3>
