Under the slogan “The Flood of Al-Aqsa, You Are Not Alone,” the University of Sana’a concluded the Annual Sports League qualifiers for the Volleyball Championship for the academic year 1446 Hijri.

In celebration of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth(peace be upon him and his family), with esteemed patronage from the University Rector, Professor Al-Qasim Mohammad Abbas, and the Vice Rector, Professor Mohamed Shoukri, the Department of Sports Activities hosted the final event at the Faculty of Commerce. The qualifiers took place from September 9 to September 12, culminating in this significant sporting event.
The Faculty of Arts & Humanities team achieved first place among the participating University Faculties, which included the Faculty of Physical Education, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, and Faculty of Commerce. As a result of their outstanding performance, they were awarded the University Rector Cup for the Volleyball Championship.
During the closing ceremony, attended by Professor Mohamed Shoukri, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, the Faculty of Arts & Humanities team was honored with the University Rector Cup and presented with gold medals. The following students were recognized for their contributions to this achievement:

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Professor Abdumalik Eissa, was present at the final match held at the Faculty of Commerce stadium, where our team competed against the Faculty of Commerce team.
Notably, Dr. Ali Ahmed Ghazwan, the Pioneering Youth Leader at the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, played a crucial role in facilitating and overcoming challenges to guide our team throughout the volleyball qualifiers.
It is worth noting that, this victory marks the third consecutive year that the Faculty of Arts & Humanities has secured first place in the University’s Volleyball Championship
