Public PhD Seminar of Mr. Ali Ali Al-Aizari, from the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts & Humanities – Sana’a University

Today, Sunday, 5th of Rajab, 1446 Hijri, corresponding to the 5th of January, 2025 , the Department of English Language and Literature within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities convened to deliberate on the research proposal submitted by Mr. Ali Ali Ahmed Al-Aizari for enrollment in the PhD program. The proposed title of his research is “Human Versus Artificial Intelligence Translations: A Contrastive Analysis of Ghassan Kanafani’s Returning to Haifa and Men in the Sun”

The discussion was attended by Dr. Ahmed Mutahar, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmed Al-Bakri, Head of the Department of English Language and Literature, as well as Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Abdrabou, the dissertation supervisor. Additionally, several faculty members from both the Department of English Language and Literature and other departments within the Faculty were present, along with a number of graduate students from the department.

During the meeting, the student presented an overview of his research proposal and its components. Following this presentation, the proposal was critically examined by the attending faculty members, including prof. Hamed Al-Moqqari and Dr. Abdullah Al-Gharbani. The discussion yielded valuable insights, benefiting both the student and attendees in their respective fields of specialization.

At the conclusion of the deliberation, the research proposal submitted by the student was formally approved
