Scientific and Cultural Activities at the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Sana’a University
Under the auspices of Prof. Al-Qasim Mohammad Abbas, Rector of Sana’a University, and Prof. Abdulmalik Eissa, Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, a scientific competition for students in the Department of Library and Information Science was conducted on January 14, 2025. This event was organized in collaboration with the University Student Forum at the Faculty.
The proceedings commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. Subsequently, Prof. Abdu Al-Mikhlafi, Head of the Department, delivered a welcoming address, which was followed by remarks from Dr. Mohammad Al-Attab, representing the Faculty administration.
The competition was adjudicated by a committee comprising:
1. Dr. Rajiha Rajih
2. Dr. Samar Al-Habari
3. Dr. Tahani Musa
The competition unfolded in several rounds. The first round featured participants from the first and second levels, resulting in the advancement of first-level students to the third stage. In the second round, third-level students competed against fourth-level students, leading to the qualification of fourth-level students for the subsequent round. This final round saw competitions between first-level and fourth-level students to determine the overall winners. Ultimately, fourth-level students secured first place, while first-level students achieved second place.
At the conclusion of the competition, all participating students and members of the committee were honored for their contributions.
