The Vice-Rector’s Office for Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research hereby announces the public defense of the PhD dissertation submitted by Mr. Abdulwali Hazem Mohammed Redman Al-Shamiri, from the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts & Humanities – Sana’a University, titled: “Dependency and the Challenge of State Building in Developing Countries: Yemen as a Case Study.”
The dissertation has been conducted under the supervision of Prof. Abdullah Muammar Al-Hakimi, Professor of Sociology and Anthropology, Sana’a University.
The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The Viva-Voce is scheduled to take place onTuesday, Shawwal 24, 1446 Hijri corresponding to April 22, 2025, in Jamal Abdulnasser Hall, Sana’a University, (Old Campus) commencing at 10:00 AM.
