Faculty of Arts and Humanities Holds its Second Meeting for the Academic Year 2025/2026

On the morning of Sunday, August 10, 2025, corresponding to Safar 16, 1447 Hijri, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Sana’a University held its second meeting for the academic year 2025/2026. The meeting was chaired by Dean Prof. Abdulmalek Mohammed Issa and attended by the heads of the academic departments and the council members.

The council reviewed and approved several important academic and administrative matters, including:
1- Approving the specialized program documents for the PhD stage in several academic departments, including Islamic Studies, Sociology, English Language and Literature, History and International Relations, and Philosophy…etc.

2- Approving the resit results for the academic year 2024/2025 across various departments, and adopting the resit examination graduates lists and those from previous years.

3- Discussing and promoting a number of faculty members to higher academic ranks and initiating the promotion procedures for others.
4- Regularizing the academic status of several faculty members who have obtained their PhD degrees.

5- Approving the registration of a number of master’s and PhD theses in various scientific majors within the faculty.

6- Approving a GPA improvement diploma program in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty praised the efforts of the academic departments and faculty members in advancing the educational and research process, emphasizing the faculty’s commitment to enhancing the quality of academic programs and serving the community.
