Master’s Thesis Proposal Presentation for Mr. Mujahid Rajeh Abdullah Rajeh

Sana’a, Yemen – The Department of Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University, held a seminar on September 1, 2025, corresponding to 9 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 Hijri, to present the master’s thesis proposal of Mr. Mujahid Rajeh Abdullah Rajeh.

The proposal, titled “The Sharia Purposes (Maqasid) of Imam Yahya bin Hamza (d. 749 Hijri): An Analytical Study,” was supervised by Prof. Sa’eed Ali Al-Himyari.
The presentation and evaluation committee included the following members:

– Assoc. Prof. Bushra Ali Al-Emad (Examiner)

During the session, the candidate presented his thesis plan, detailing the study’s objectives, significance, methodology, and theoretical framework.
Following an extensive discussion by the committee members, the research plan was approved. The committee praised the candidate’s efforts and highlighted the importance of the thesis topic in supporting the concept of Sharia purposes within Islamic thought. The seminar was attended by a number of academics and postgraduate students from the department.
