Faculty of Arts and Humanities Council Applauds Curricula Unification Initiative

The Council of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Sana’a University, during its third regular meeting for the academic year 1447 Hijri / 2025–2026, applauded the decision by His Excellency, the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Hassan AbduIlah Al-Sa’di. The decision approves and unifies the curricula for similar programs across various Yemeni universities, effective from the academic year 1447 Hijri / 2025–2026.
The Council affirmed that this decision is a significant strategic step for university education, as it will contribute to improving educational quality, ensuring equal academic opportunities, and guaranteeing the consistency of learning outcomes between both public and private universities. This move, the Council noted, will strengthen the role of higher education in serving society and national development.
In addition, the Council discussed a number of academic and student-related issues, as well as matters concerning postgraduate studies. It approved the accreditation of doctoral program documents in several departments, including: Arabic Language and Literature, Social Service, French Language, Psychology, Archaeology and Tourism, and Libraries and Information Science. The decisions also included the approval of diverse specializations within these programs to align with scientific advancements and meet the needs of the labor market.
The Council also praised the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research for its efforts in modernizing and developing the educational process, stating that these steps reflect a commitment to building a cohesive university education that keeps pace with changes and serves the aspirations of Yemeni society
