Faculty of Arts Dean Chairs Preparatory Meeting for Archaeology and Tourism Symposium

The Faculty Dean of the Arts and Humanities at Sana’a University, Prof. Abdulmalek Mohammed Issa, chaired an expanded preparatory meeting today to discuss arrangements for an upcoming academic symposium organized by the Department of Archaeology and Tourism.
The meeting was attended by Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Saeed, along with faculty members, including Prof. Ghailan Ghailan from the Department of Archaeology and Tourism, and Dr. Hafeezah Qasim from the Department of Geography and Geoinformatics.
During the meeting, attendees discussed the general framework of the symposium, its scientific themes, and its objectives aimed at:
– Supporting scientific research.
– Enhancing awareness of the importance of national heritage.
– Highlighting the role of heritage in stimulating tourism and preserving cultural legacy.
The participants also reviewed the necessary organizational and technical aspects for the successful execution of the symposium’s activities, including mechanisms for involving academics, researchers, and relevant institutions.
The Dean affirmed that organizing this symposium is part of the Faculty’s broader efforts to:
– Highlight the role of its scientific departments.
– Activate their contributions to community service.
– Elevate the cognitive and research level of the Faculty’s students and academic staff.
