يسعى قسم اللغة العربية وآدابها إلى تطوير البحث العلمي وتأهيل الكوادر الملتحقة ببرنامج القسم لامتلاك المنهج والمعرفة في آن واحد، ومعرفة كيفية الإفادة منها في خدمة الوطن والأمة والإنسانية.
Mission
The program seeks to prepare proficient researchers equipped with scientific methodologies for studying language and literature issues, capable of conducting studies and research, committed to serving Arab culture and human knowledge, and dedicated to upholding academic values in scientific research.

Program Aims :
The program aims to:
- Achieving an advanced level of scientific knowledge in aspects of linguistic studies, contemporary linguistics, critical and rhetorical issues, as well as classical and modern issues related to them.
- Introducing the methods and theories related to linguistic and literary studies, the aspects of agreement and disagreement among them, and the mechanism of their application.
- Providing students with the skills of scientific research, and enabling them to prepare specialized research in accordance with academic standards.
- Forming a solid foundation for cumulative academic construction and promoting the principles of scientific research.
- Possessing sufficient scientific capabilities to deal and succeed in the fields of work at the local, regional and international levels.
