Mr. Ibrahim Abdelrahman Ahmed Abdu Al-Faqih has successfully awarded the MA Degree, majoring in Hadith, from the Department of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Arts & Humanities – Sana’a University. His thesis, entitled “Al-Futuhat Al-llahiyyah: Verification of the Hadiths in Al-Thamarat by the Distinguished Judge: Abdullah bin Muhyi Al-Din Al-Arasi (d. 1187 AH) (Study and Verification) (From the Beginning of Surah Al-Isra to the End of Surah Fussilat).” The thesis defense took place on Monday, Sha’aban 25, 1446 Hirji, corresponding to February 24, 2025.<\/h3>\n

The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:
\n1. Prof. Mustafa Mahmoud Saleh Al-Rusi, External Examiner, Ibb University, Chair.
\n2. Dr. Hassan Ali Abduljabbar Al-Sarouri, Main Supervisor, Sana’a University, Member.
\n3. Dr. Ashwaq Hamoud Al-Mikhlafi, Internal Examiner, Sana’a University, Member.<\/h3>\n

The primary objective of the thesis was to conduct a comprehensive study of the manuscript authored by Judge Abdullah bin Muhiddin al-Arasi, examining the historical context of his era and its influence on his scholarship.
\nThroughout his research, the scholar identified several significant findings, notably highlighting the dedication of Muslim scholars to the Noble Prophetic Hadith, particularly among Yemeni scholars and those affiliated with Zaydism. This commitment is prominently reflected in the manuscript produced by Judge Abdullah al-Arasi, which contributes substantially to the Islamic scholarly corpus.<\/h3>\n

Furthermore, the researcher provided several recommendations, emphasizing:
\n1. The urgent need for the study and investigation of valuable manuscripts authored by Yemeni scholars to ensure their accessibility for future researchers and readers.
\n2. The importance of guiding graduate students to focus on the examination of Hadith literature and its associated sciences, particularly texts authored by earlier scholars whose works may have been lost, thereby allowing for the preservation and dissemination of their rare insights and teachings.<\/h3>\n

The Viva-Voce was attended by several academics, researchers, students, and several colleagues and family members of the researcher.<\/h3>\n
