Ms. Amani Abdullah Mohammed Al-Yemeni <\/strong>was awarded a PhD degree for her dissertation titled \u201cThe Theory of Communicative Action and the Concept of the Public Sphere in Habermas’s Philosophy: A Critical Analytical Study<\/strong>,\u201d<\/em> which was submitted to the Department of, Faculty of Arts and Humanities – Sana\u2019a University. The PhD dissertation defense was held on Thursday, July 31, 2025<\/strong>, corresponding to Safar 6, 1446 <\/strong>Hijri.<\/h3>\n

The dissertation aimed to <\/strong>analyze the philosophical project of J\u00fcrgen Habermas<\/strong> by exploring the foundations of his theory of communicative action and its link to the concept of the public sphere. The study sought to highlight how Habermas reconstructs modern rationality on a communicative and argumentative basis, which allows for the production of shared understanding and enhances the potential for democratic participation, justice, and social critique. The research also examined the applicability of this model in the contemporary Arab context.<\/h3>\n
