SANA\u2019A \u2013 January 11, 2026 \u2014 The Council of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Sana\u2019a University held its seventh meeting for the academic year 2025\/2026 this morning. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Abdulmalek Mohammed Issa, the Faculty Dean, and attended by department heads and council members.<\/h3>\n

The Council reviewed a comprehensive agenda covering academic and administrative affairs, passing resolutions in accordance with university regulations.
\nA significant portion of the meeting focused on advancing postgraduate studies and standardizing curricula:<\/h3>\n

– The Council ratified the decisions of examination and defense committees for several postgraduate students across various disciplines, following the successful completion of their academic requirements.
\n– In alignment with the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research\u2019s policies, the Council approved a unified curriculum plan for several scientific departments to ensure academic consistency and program development.
\n– To bolster the university’s research output, the Council officially approved the registration of several Master\u2019s theses and PhD dissertations.
\nLooking ahead, the Council formally approved the University Calendar for the 1448 academic year. This early approval is part of the Faculty\u2019s commitment to proactive organizational planning, ensuring a seamless educational process and adherence to scheduled academic timelines.
\nThe Council also took time to recognize extracurricular excellence and faculty dedication:
\n– Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the Faculty\u2019s volleyball, tennis, and football teams for their active participation and honorable representation of the institution.
\n– Dr. Ali Ghazwan, the Faculty\u2019s Youth Leader, was honored for his continuous support of student activities and his dedicated oversight of the athletic teams.
\nIn his closing statement, Prof. Abdulmalek Mohammed Issa commended the faculty and departments for their tireless efforts in elevating the university’s educational and research standards. He reaffirmed the Deanery\u2019s commitment to enhancing institutional performance and academic quality to better serve the community and meet the university\u2019s strategic goals.<\/h3>\n
