The Council of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Sana’a University held its third meeting for the academic year 2026\/2027 today, Sunday, chaired by the Faculty Dean, Prof. Abdulmalek Mohammed Issa, and in the presence of the vice deans, heads of academic departments, and faculty council members.
\nDuring the meeting, the Council reviewed several academic and administrative issues and topics listed on its agenda, chief among which were academic promotion files, appointments, and academic status adjustments. The Council also discussed the nomination of several faculty members for internal scholarships, within the framework of supporting academic staff and promoting development and scientific research tracks across the faculty.
\nIn academic and graduate studies affairs, the Council approved the registration of several master’s theses and Ph.D. dissertations, alongside approving their supervisors. It also approved the results of defense and discussion decisions for several master’s theses and Ph.D. dissertations, in accordance with the accredited academic bylaws and regulations at Sana’a University.
\nFurthermore, the Council discussed the progress of academic programs, approved the results of the Level Improvement Diploma, reviewed several reports and proposals submitted by scientific committees and academic departments, and made appropriate decisions and recommendations regarding them to enhance academic and administrative performance quality and elevate the educational process and scientific research.
\nDuring the meeting, the Faculty Dean, Prof. Abdulmalek Mohammed Issa, emphasized the importance of continuing to work with a unified team spirit, adhering to academic regulations and bylaws, and reinforcing institutional approaches in managing various faculty affairs. He stressed the necessity of integrating the efforts of academic departments, committees, and administrations to achieve the faculty’s and university’s goals and support the development of its academic and research programs.
\nThe meeting comes as part of ongoing follow-ups on the faculty’s academic and administrative performance, as well as the continuous development of the educational process, graduate studies, and scientific research to meet students’ aspirations and strengthen the standing of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Sana’a University<\/h3>\n
